refund & cancellation policy
Plans change, and so does the weather. Here’s exactly what happens with tickets, vendor fees, and sponsorships if you need to cancel, or if we do.
the short version
Can’t make it? Request a refund up to [X DAYS] before the event, or pass your ticket to a friend. If we cancel, you get your money back. If we postpone, your ticket carries over to the new date. Questions? Email us at info@yourcommunity-events.com and a real person will help.

event tickets
1
If you can’t attend, you can request a full refund of your ticket price up to [X DAYS] before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to transfer yours to someone else (see below).
Ticketing and processing fees charged by [TICKETING PROVIDER] are [REFUNDABLE / NON-REFUNDABLE]. Some events may have their own terms, which we’ll list clearly on the event page before you buy.
ticket transfers
2
Know someone who’d love to go in your place? You can transfer your ticket at no charge through [TRANSFER METHOD] or by emailing us the new guest’s name before the event. We’d much rather see your seat filled than empty.
if we cancel an event
3
If we have to cancel an event, you’ll receive a full refund of your ticket price to your original payment method within [X BUSINESS DAYS]. You don’t need to do anything. We’ll email you as soon as the decision is made.
postponed or rescheduled events
4
If an event moves to a new date, your ticket automatically carries over. If the new date doesn’t work for you, request a refund within [X DAYS] of our announcement and we’ll take care of it.
Most of our events happen [RAIN OR SHINE], so a little rain isn’t grounds for a refund. If conditions become unsafe, like lightning, high winds, or a storm warning, guest safety comes first. If we cancel for weather, Section 3 applies; if we reschedule, Section 4 applies.
If an event has to end early after it starts, [PARTIAL REFUND / CREDIT / NO REFUND POLICY].

event-day changes
6
Live events are, well, live. Vendors, venues, activities, and schedules may change from what was announced. We’ll always do our best to keep the experience just as good, and minor changes aren’t grounds for a refund.
vendor fees
7
If you cancel: Let us know at least 90days before the event for a refund of your booth fee, minus an administrative fee. Cancellations after that date, and no-shows, are non-refundable, since your spot has been held and planned for.
If we cancel: You'll receive a full refund or a credit toward a future event. If the event is postponed, your booth automatically carries over to the new date, or you may request a refund within 90 days of our announcement. If the event is changed or delayed for any other reason, your booth space will be held for you, but full refunds will not be issued.
sponsorships
8
Sponsorship cancellations and refunds follow the terms in your sponsorship agreement. If we cancel an event you’ve sponsored, we’ll work with you directly on a [REFUND / CREDIT / TRANSFER TO ANOTHER EVENT] that feels fair to your business.
Email us at info@yourcommunity-events.com with your name, the event name and date, and your order or confirmation number. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 BUSINESS DAYS. Depending on your bank, it may take a few extra days to appear.
